How to Deploy llms.txt on Your Store

Upload to Shopify Files

In your Shopify Admin, navigate to Settings > Files and upload your downloaded llms.txt file. Click the link icon next to the file to copy its CDN URL.

Create URL Redirect

Go to Online Store > Navigation > URL Redirects. Click Create URL redirect. Set Redirect from to /llms.txt and Redirect to to the CDN URL you copied in Step 1.

Verify Setup

Visit https://yourstore.com/llms.txt in your browser. It should instantly load your clean markdown catalog directory!

Open Root Directory

Log in to your web hosting cPanel (File Manager) or connect via FTP to your WordPress installation directory (where wp-config.php is located).

Upload llms.txt

Upload the llms.txt file directly into this public root folder (usually public_html).

Verify

Open https://yourstore.com/llms.txt to ensure the raw text renders directly.

Place File in /pub Directory

In your Adobe Commerce / Magento 2 installation, place llms.txt inside the /pub root directory.

Verify Web Server Access
